What Does Our Future Hold for Sustainability?
Following Donald Trump’s election as the POTUS, a lot of citizens have begun wondering what the future will be for sustainability in Colorado. Additionally, business owners have begun questioning the viability of going green and how it will affect their bottom line. Will the environmental and community benefits outweigh the costs my business incurs? Will I be penalized or punished for using renewable energy sources and recycling/composting? Whose lead can I follow if the president doesn’t support going green?
Uniting Around Colorado’s Green Leaders
To answer your questions, we’re bringing together a panel of Colorado’s green businesses and leaders in sustainability throughout the year at the Denver Green Forum to talk about their plans for the sustainable future and how the country’s political landscape may or may not alter those plans. We’ll delve into what motivates these organizations to adopt sustainable practices, and what benefits they have reaped by going green. We’ll also discuss hurtles they’ve faced or battles they have fought to change their industries or public policy, and to lead the way for a greener future in Colorado and America.
A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to a sustainable charity.
